Book Tour!

To celebrate the launch of The Black Prism, Orbit is sending me on a book tour. I’ve been trying to put together a rider to rival some of these. I think I’ll demand Vegemite. I’m a simple man.

  1. Probably already been said and will likely not happen for a while yet, but COME TO THE UK!!!

We’d love to see you and London is an amazing city

  2. I will be there for the Glendale signing for sure! Very excited for the next book, thanks for all your creative work.

  3. COME TO HOUSTON, TX! You’ll be right close in Dallas anyway, its just a hop skip and a jump. It would be excellent to meet the author for once that my friends and myself that are fans would jump for the chance.

  4. Just saw your rider and, as an Aussie, I applaud your “demand” :) Moreover, I’m so looking forward to this new book – the first 3 chapters were fantastic! Just wish I had the opportunity to go to one of your signings. Oh, well…one day, I hope.

  5. We’re happy little vegemites as bright as bright can be/We all enjoy our vegemite for breakfast, lunch and tea/Our mummies say we’re growing stronger every single week/Because we love our vegemite/We all adore our vegemite/It puts a rose on every cheek

    Had to do that.

  6. Come to Dublin, Ireland. Loads of people here love your books. Forget the west coast, do a European tour. It’ll be great fun, something different. You can see America whenever you want – get Orbit to send you across the Atlantic :)

  7. so…Brisbane, Australia is out?

  8. Well it seems you’re going to be staying in the US this round… Maybe you can pick New York for the last stop though? Give your Canadian Fans from across the border a chance to pop down?

It would give me an excuse to arrange a kidnapping of my fiance and see how long it takes him to figure out where I’m taking him… ;)

  9. Come to Victoria, BC! “The most beautiful place on earth!”

  10. Vancouver B.C. It’s less than three hours north of Seattle.

If the Seattle date wasn’t on a Thursday I’d totaly be there.

  11. New York, NY. The east coast needs Weeksian goodness as well.

  12. I know I probably won’t be as convincing as others, but I like for you to come to Chicago, IL its a great city and I’ve lived here my entire life and I wouldn’t wish to live any where else so I wish you could stop by. I really enjoyed your books more than you know thanks for time.

  13. Miami, Fl is awesome that time of year

  14. I third the NY option, been dying to meet you over here. I’ll keep my fingers crossed :-)

  15. August 29th! I’m there

  16. Dear Brent,

I am so excited Orbit has chosen Orlando for your signing. I will definately be there, I loved the Shadow books and am looking forward to Prisim.
    All the best, Linda

  17. when you hit denver, do you think you could come down to colorado springs?

  18. Ohhhh, darn I move out of Denver on August 20th. I am so dissapointed.

  19. Super excited that you are going to be in Dallas. My husband (and I) is a huge fan of your Night Angel trilogy. He likes to pretend he is not though. Liking fantasy novels is unfortunately not “cool”. Thank you, however to you are Orbit for (finally!) decent fantasy covers. If I had to carry another book with a bodice ripped hooded man on a cliff on the cover…
All that to say. We will be there!

  20. Seriously? No East Coast? Ok… Florida… let me revamp…. NO NY???? I just got home for a few days and looked up your schedule. I don’t know about that publisher of yours. Leaving out Philly, NYC and Boston? Mmmmmm…. LOL… I know how it works.. I’m just sad. I’m sure I know SOMEONE in those cities that can say hello for me and get me a signed copy ;) Remember…. sometime in the middle of those crazy flights and timetables to… breathe. Best advice I ever got before I hit the road! Enjoy!

  21. I know! What about GA or NC or VA?But mostly GA.

  22. So Brittan is a no-go? All the good things happen in America :(

  23. It really saddens me as a fan who has read the night angel series multiple times and listened to the graphic audio to hear that you arent even coming remotely close to the northeast there are quite a few fans of your work up here and I know many of them are eagerly awaiting your next series. Is it possible to request/send in for an signed copy of your new book it would really make someone like me happy.

  24. You should make a way to link these dates/events as an event on facebook on someone’s calendar. I’m in San Diego and will most DEFINITELY be attending the book signing on the 27th, and I’d be very proud to show it on my facebook page.

  25. the books are that good i didnt read them i inhaled the fuckers completly!!!!!!

  26. D.C. would love to have you as well. Come visit the east coast! We don’t bite… hard.

  27. No northeast Us states dang, think about the New Yorkers!

  28. P.S. My offer to send my copy of the book and 20$ still stands…. :)

  29. There is an aspiring author here in Greensboro, NC who would REALLY like to meet you!!

  30. Hello Mr. Weeks,

Patiently and with great eagerness I’m awaiting the time that you will visit Europe. I do realise that this event might not happen for few more years, but we’ll be here … waiting. Doesn’t really matter which country or city you’ll decide to visit, i assure you, everywhere you’ll have plenty of fans excited about your visit :)

Till we see each other, best regards.

  31. Kansas City would also be an excellent location. It’s one of the largest cities in the U.S. and it’s located in the Midwest which is not represented in your tour (Colorado doesn’t count). Just something to consider. Of course, this might just be my ploy to get you within driving distance for myself as well…

  32. Stop by Bakersfield, CA. You have quite a few avid fans out here that would LOVE a chance to meet you!

  33. OMG! Brent, you are just so kick-ass i have to use the word kick-ass to describe it.
I don’t know if you actually read this but if you do I will officially become eccstatic.
Before I go any further, I just have to say that your books are all just simply amazing.
There is simply no comparisson to the level of writing you have thus attained in the fantasy genre (comming from someone who has read all there is to read in said category… I will spare you from my enumeration of them… suffice to say there are many).
Your mastery for creating not characters but actual people in your books is astounding. I can only hope to one day be as good as you. Your plots are constantly filled with non-stop action and suspense and I cannot fathom how you put it together so well.
Simply put, I’m a huge fan. I live in Montreal and have been spreading the good news (your news that is) ever since I first read your breath-taking trilogy. I work at my local Indigo (Chapters as you might know it… its a book strore if you don’t…) and have been taking much care as to your book beeing on constant display (hope this doesn’t seem like obsession, even though it probably is…). My friends and I would love to see you come by (it gets boring in our igloos… lol). Plus, I’ve never been to a book signing so it would be pretty awesome.
Anyway, that pretty much sums up all I had to say. In case this comment is ment for discussion and as means to contact you, than, yes:
    FAIL
However, if this does reach you, I would love to back from you. I have so many questions to ask (being an aspiring author). Anyway, hope your hand does’t cramp up from writing!
    Yours truly,
    Andrius

  34. Aw, man, Dallas! Crap, I’m in San Atonio…

  35. No Canadian locations at all? I call shenanigans!

  36. Sooooo… when ya coming to St. Louis?? How about the 9th of September? Or, actually, any day in September besides the 15th. I have a thing. But other than that, totally workable!

Some other people will probably come, too. I’ll invite my family or something :)

  37. Please make the hop down to Austin! Austin is better than Dallas anyway!

  38. I can’t wait till tomorrow when you come to Seattle!!!!

  39. any chance of coming to Canada?

  40. Well what can i say.. after reading the night angel trilogy thrice, and laughing out loud when i read the end of your acknowledgements, i have to give it to you Mr Weeks.. ill give u the chance alright!! You keep ‘em comin and ill keep on reading ‘em.. give me that “helluva ride”
JUST COME TO ENGLAND SO I CAN GET IT SIGNED!!

  41. Come to Minnesota Brent!

  42. ONE WORD = “MIDWEST”

    PLEASE, THANKS!

    BTW- AWESOME WORK!

    RYAN B.

  43. Thanks B.W. for a great event in Dallas this most previous Sunday!

It was a sincere pleasure to watch you work with so many folx, and talk with them, taking time to connect. It must have been the high quality of TEXANS present, because I know not all Book Signings are so pleasant. I dunno maybe YOU had something to do with it as well.

I took the liberty to sit back and just watch you interact, and the people were excited coming INTO the store, but they were MORE excited after connecting for a bit with you and getting their books inked by your hand. Even some frumpy mothers who came in cause their child drug them in, (drugged them in? ooo DUI bad idea), got excited listening to your excitement, and left smiling and nearly, NEARLY, as excited as their kiddos were.

You were gracious with your time. Dallas, and I thank you.

    bd

  44. I request you come somewhere in the Midwest. preferably Nebraska, but just the Midwest will do.
